Fab Lab — O’Brien Dental Lab in Oregon

Dental Lifeline Network • Oregon would like to recognize O’Brien Dental Lab. for their dedication to Donated Dental Services (DDS) patients in Oregon. O’Brien has been volunteering for DDS since 1989, providing more than $91,903 in fabrications for more than 146 patients through the program.

“O’Brien Dental Lab has participated in the Donated Dental Services program for better than thirty years now and I consider it to be the best way to give back to the many needy patients who would have no other access to dental care.” – Derrick Luksch, owner of O’Brien Dental Lab.

“I don’t know of any more efficient charitable organization than DDS. By providing dental restorations to doctors and their patients we are able to directly impact lives and know that one hundred percent of our efforts go to the people for whom the donation was intended, said Luksch.

In 1988, the Oregon Dental Association partnered with Dental Lifeline Network • Oregon in developing a Donated Dental Services (DDS) program to help people with disabilities or who are elderly or medically fragile and had no other access to dental care.

Since inception, Oregon dentists and labs have donated over $9.7 million worth of comprehensive treatment for 2,868 vulnerable people.
