Fab Lab — Shikosha Inc. in Oregon

Dental Lifeline Network • Oregon would like to recognize Shikosha inc. for their dedication to Donated Dental Services (DDS) patients in Oregon. Shikosha has been volunteering for DDS since 1990, providing more than $19,499 in fabrications for 37 patients through the program.

“At Shikosha, we believe that “Smiles are what we live for” and one of our core values is to be appreciative and empathetic with our community. Our policy has been to make donations to patients for even dentists who do not use us. We revere all doctors giving their time and are proud to serve them and Donated Dental Services.” – Nick Yoshida, owner of Shikosha, Inc.

In 1988, the Oregon Dental Association partnered with Dental Lifeline Network • Oregon in developing a Donated Dental Services (DDS) program to help people with disabilities or who are elderly or medically fragile and had no other access to dental care.

Since inception, Oregon dentists and labs have donated over $9.7 million worth of comprehensive treatment for 2,868 vulnerable people.
